The BPF has launched a new online training resource for plastics industry professionals.
The BPFTraining.com platform has been created through a strategic partnership between the BPF and Maguire Training and features a collection of over 80 training courses on topics ranging from ‘Sales and Marketing’ to ‘Team Leadership’.
In addition to this, the BPF says it is creating specialist plastics industry training modules, the first two being 'Energy Efficient Services in Plastics Processing' and 'Energy Efficiency in Injection Moulding', both of which are led by plastics industry energy specialist, Robin Kent.
The BPF says all courses are CPD Accredited and feature downloadable supported content. Once students have completed the course they undertake an online exam and if passed, receive a certificate.
The BPF’s Business Development Manager, Stephen Hunt, stated: “The BPF have tried to create a platform that can deliver training to firms in the most cost effective and time sensitive way possible. Since each course typically comprises of a short, 45-minute video and prices start at £25 a course, it is our belief that we have achieved our aim.
We see this as just the beginning and over the course of 2013 we aim to work in collaboration with membership firms and other interested parties to really develop the volume of plastics specific content we have on the training platform to meet industry needs.”
