Polythene manufacturer, Duo UK, has won a contract with online baby and maternity retailer, ChicBaby.com, to produce new, branded packaging to make the brand recognisable when it is delivered to a customer’s door.
Duo says an innovative, dual-strip reusable mailing bag increases efficiency should a product need to be returned. Customers can also use the shipping bags to donate unwanted baby clothes to ChicBaby.com’s partner charity, “Give&Get Global Clothing Drive.”
Ash Huzenlaub, Chief Executive Officer of ChicBaby.com, said: “ChicBaby.com’s Give&Get Global Clothing Drive is a central focus of our company and it is only through Duo’s dual strip reusable mailing bag that this program is able to function.
“Within each order, we provide a shipping label for a partner charity that is country specific to our customer. As Duo’s bag is so easy to reuse, recycling the bag for this purpose further enhances our customers’ experience and they feel great for participating in the program.”
Duo says the use of the polythene helps protect the clothes due to the weatherproof and durable plastic. There is also a great emphasis on branding the mailing bags themselves to be a part of the brand, not just a practical product.
Duo UK Managing Director, David Brimelow, said: “Our clients value our advice on logistical and budgetary issues but also on brand positioning – for online only retailers like ChicBaby.com, branded packaging is the only physical interaction customers have with a brand so they instinctively know it is important. This instinct is backed by research that shows that 70 percent view the packaging their goods arrive in as integral to the shopping experience.”
London-based ChicBaby.com ships to over 30 countries and is collaborating with Manchester-based Duo after a recommendation from a client.
