Scotland’s Clydesdale Bank has marked Burns Night by signing its first polymer £10 note, due to go into production later this year.
The Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, David Duffy, signed the first note to commemorate the Bard’s birthday on January 25th.
The polymer notes, which feature a picture of Robert Burns on the front and views of Edinburgh on the reverse, should be ready for circulation in 2017.
“It’s a privilege to see my signature alongside his portrait,” said Duffy after the signing.
