A MicroPower 15/10 is being demonstrated at CHINAPLAS
At Chinaplas 2016 Wittmann Battenfeld is showcasing a range of state-of-the-art injection moulding technology and peripheral equipment for a market it says “offers great potential for its future”.
The WITTMANN Group is present not only with its own sales organisation, but also with a production plant in Kunshan, where robots, temperature controllers, material loaders and granulators are manufactured, primarily for the Asian market.
At this year’s Chinaplas, WITTMANN BATTENFELD is demonstrating two models from its PowerSeries.
On a MicroPower 15/10, which has been specially designed for the injection moulding of small and micro parts, WITTMANN BATTENFELD is showcasing an opto-electronic application. A barrel holder made of POM is being produced with a mould supplied by Wittner, Austria.
The second model on display is a servo-hydraulic machine from WITTMANN BATTENFELD’s SmartPower series. By showing a SmartPower 120/525, the company says it will show, among other things, the integration of robots and peripheral equipment into the control systems of injection moulding machines, known as WITTMANN 4.0.
The machines as well as the connected robots and peripherals are linked up with each other via a uniform Windows user interface, which enables the individual appliances to interact with each other.
In addition to the robots and peripheral appliances integrated in the injection moulding machines, WITTMANN BATTENFELD is also presenting a range of robots and peripherals at the Chinaplas as stand-alone solutions, among them the brand new W838T robot model.
In terms of drying equipment, the company is demonstrating the DRYMAX Aton segmented wheel dryer. This dryer consists of numerous separate chambers loosely filled with desiccant balls. In conjunction with WITTMANN BATTENFELD’s 3-save process, the company says this not only ensures efficient use of energy, but also a continuous drying process with a constant dew point.
In the area of temperature controllers, the entry-level models TEMPRO basic C90, 120 and 140 are displayed, as well as a single-circuit and a dual-circuit model from the high-performance TEMPRO plus D series.
Furthermore, WITTMANN is presenting its range of granulators at Chinaplas, among others the MAS grinders MAS1 and MAS2, and the screenless beside-the-press granulator models Minor 2 and Junior 2 Compact.
In the materials handling sector, WITTMANN is demonstrating its S3 standalone loader and the central material separator from its FEEDMAX B series. The company says both these material handling appliances stand out by their process reliability as well as easy operation and servicing.
In the area of metering technology, WITTMANN is presenting a GRAVIMAX primus G14 blender with a throughput of up to 80 kg/h and a DOSIMAX volumetric blender.
The GRAVIMAX is equipped with wear-resistant, high-precision stainless steel valves. Metering accuracy is ensured by RTLS technology (real time weighing). Two weighing cells are active throughout the entire metering cycle, which measure with an accuracy down to single grams and thus ensure consistent parts quality for every shot.
The range of peripherals is rounded off by a WITTMANN flow controller.
