Keaflex has acquired a powerful 250 tonne injection moulding press.
Elastomer engineering specialist Keaflex, has announced it is expanding its injection moulding capacity with the purchase of a new 250-tonne press.
The Hampshire-based company has acquired a new Desma GBP250k vertical injection moulding machine as part of an overall recent investment.
The GBP250k is 3.7m high with a platen size of 670 mm x 780 mm. It is equipped with a range of advanced features, including fully hydraulic clamping and full electronic control and among its main uses will be the injection moulding of liquid silicone rubber.
"The GBP250k machine represents a significant investment for us," said Keaflex's Managing Director, Andy Tuffield. "It will significantly enhance our injection moulding capacity."
Keaflex specialises in elastomer engineering and provides a comprehensive service for the design and manufacture of elastomer components, including complex 3D mouldings.
