Ancillaries provider for the plastics industry, Summit Systems, is celebrating seven years of partnership with global size reduction specialist, Zerma.
Since 2008 the companies have provided over 200 organisations with 400 Zerma granulators, shredders and pulverisers.
“Summit Systems maintains a very close relationship with its customers, which has provided us with significant insight into what really drives manufacturing processes,” explained Roman Guenther, Managing Director at Zerma Thailand.
“This has helped us to produce products specific to client circumstances. We have enjoyed a strong, mutually beneficial collaboration over the past seven years, which we anticipate for many years to come.”
Zerma produce more than 50 size reduction models, including a wide range of plastic granulators. Products suit a variety of niches from compact, soundproofed models designed to integrate into existing operations, through slow speed, low noise and dust beside the press applications, to heavy duty models for tough recycling challenges.
“The main reason our clients choose to granulate on site is to save money. By cutting out the middleman they can reduce the cost of purge recycling by as much as 75 percent,” commented Mike Jordan, Managing Director of Summit Systems.
“Zerma granulators are more affordable than many other models on the market which means payback is reduced, and the huge variety of models lets customers choose a product that very closely matches their needs.”
UK-based thermoforming specialist, TDX, purchased a ‘GSH’ model Zerma granulator, which is said to save up to 70 percent on electricity compared to similar products.
Commenting, Commenrcial Director at TDX, Trever Marr, said: “The purchase of the Zerma GSH700/1000 Heavy Duty Granulator has enabled TDX to significantly increase its throughput in its ability to collect and granulate PET scrap material. In terms of output and quality of material produced this has exceeded all expectations."
