Magnetically-detectable compounds that can be detected by any kind of metal detector have been introduced by Lati. The company emphasises the food contact suitability of its MDT compounds, and says they do not release any dust or particles. They include neither carbon nor steel fibres, no graphite, and no carbon black. Unlike traditional compounds which use ferromagnetic fillers, they can be detected by induction coil systems as well as permanent magnets.
