The new R&D facility at ACC Silicones' facility in Somerset
UK-based manufacturer of silicones, ACC Silicones, has opened a new R&D facility that it says will allow the company “to push the technical boundaries” of its products.
The company has also enlarged its existing quality assurance lab and testing areas, as well as recruiting a number of qualified technicians to support the expansion at its Somerset facility.
“As a Group, we have a strong focus on new product and technology development tailored to provide practical working solutions for our customers. ACC Silicones will now be in an even better position to meet those needs and support the international Group effort,” explained Levi Cottington, CEO for the ICM Silicones Group.
ACC Silicones says it will continue to work closely with leading manufacturers within the automotive, electronics, aerospace, led and moulding industries, with the new facilities allowing it to further enhance its offering.
“This is an exciting new development for everyone at ACC Silicones. We can now use these new resources to push the technical boundaries of our products and provide tangible benefits to the end user,” added Sean Stoodley, the company’s Technical Director.
