With offshore exploration and recovery moving to greater depths, at higher pressures and temperatures - often in substantially more demanding corrosive environments – tomorrow’s materials will need to withstand even more extreme service conditions than previously encountered in oil reserves. Adding to this, an increased use of enhanced oil recovery fluids and service in high H 2S concentration deposits, and it’s clear to see why there must be continued research, development, and industry collaboration to respond to new material challenges.
The 2013 conference will include sessions on:
O&G Trends and Extreme Polymer Requirements
High Pressure, High Temperature (HPHT) application experience
Low Temperature Resistance
Corrosion and Failure – Analysis and Prevention
Resisting Harsh Chemicals and Gases
Non-Metallic Sealing Systems
Multi-material components
Additives and fillers for elastomers and thermoplastics
