Plastribution's Dan Jarvis presented in the 'Plastics in Automotives' seminar session at Interplas
With an abundance of enquiries, leads and technical questions, polymer distributor, Plastribution says that Interplas 2014 was an opportunity to “fly the flag” for the expertise within the UK plastics industry.
Speaking to BP&R at the event, Dan Jarvis, Technical Manager at Plastribution, said that conversations for new products from new customers was “exciting”, with the quality of engagement and scope of the projects being mooted was “impressive.”
“Conversations at the show have shown us that there’s some great new concepts and designs coming from the plastics industry – it’s really exciting to see where the industry can still go,” he explained.
“For us as a distributor providing advice on the most suitable material for a product or process, it’s invaluable that we keep our knowledge up-to-date. Being at Interplas has given us the opportunity to learn about some new technologies from other exhibitors, for example we have been learning about a new moulding technique for lightweighting which will prove extremely useful.”
Plastribution said that together with an abundance of networking opportunities in the exhibition’s aisles, they enjoyed a steady stream of visitors to their stand during the three intensive days at the show. The company also used the show as an opportunity to promote its new website and hand out copies of their latest in-house magazine, ‘Know-How’.
“We have had a really good show,” explained Plastribution’s Duncan Scott. “Our primary focus was brand development, but networking at the show has been extremely valuable.”
Plastribution is next exhibiting in the UK at the Advanced Engineering show at the NEC on 11-12 November 2014 on stand G134.
